Tour Description:

Starting from Zurich, embark on a relaxed coach journey through scenic countryside and along the shores of Lake Lucerne, heading toward the charming town of Lucerne. Along the way, enjoy a short stop to take in breathtaking views and snap some photos. Upon arrival, your guide will take you on a brief orientation tour, passing key landmarks such as the Chapel Bridge, the Town Hall, the Jesuit Church, and the Culture and Convention Centre (KKL). You’ll then have some free time to explore the beautifully preserved medieval Old Town, enjoy a snack, do a bit of souvenir shopping, or simply stroll through its atmospheric streets.

From Lucerne, continue on to Kriens, where you’ll board panoramic gondolas that take you up to Fräkmüntegg. There, you’ll transfer to the Dragon Ride aerial cableway, designed with large panoramic windows that offer spectacular views and create the sensation of flying. Once you reach the top of Mt. Pilatus, standing at 2,132 meters above sea level, you can explore the interactive Dragon World exhibition, walk the scenic Dragon Trail, or take a short hike to the summit if the weather allows. Relax on the panoramic terrace and marvel at the sweeping views of the surrounding Alpine peaks and glistening lakes far below.

Treat yourself to a typical Swiss lunch at one of the mountain restaurants before embarking on the day’s highlight: a thrilling descent on the world’s steepest cogwheel railway, which boasts a 48% gradient, taking you down to Alpnachstad. From there, board a public boat for a peaceful one-hour cruise across the crystal-clear waters of Lake Lucerne, offering a new perspective on the stunning landscape. Your excursion concludes at the port in Lucerne, or you can enjoy a comfortable coach ride back to Zurich.
